This is something you'll need in good supply if you want to work without a boss. It's sometimes called 'self starting' or 'being a self starter', which is you doing things without being told. You can be given the best of plans and buy all the best tools and information about how to go about it, but if you don't do anything with them, it will be money wasted.

All successful Entrepreneurs work on pre-defined goals. Some may do it more formally than others but nevertheless they always have a clear vision of their end-game or outcome.

These goals will ultimately have a degree of detail to them to enable their effective fulfilment but, more importantly they will be a source of passion and inspiration for the entrepreneur - a passion which is obvious and infectious to those they come in contact with.

Sometimes, you can wake up, open your eyes, pull the covers off and wonder, "How am I going to make it through another day at my job?" You shake it off as you shower, get dressed, get on the bus or in your car and by the time you reach the office, you're geared up to tackle the world. You've put in a lot of time into your career with this company and you're pretty comfortable with your responsibilities and daily activities. You don't agree with everything that goes on within the company or in that industry but, hey, it's not your company, right?

Once I was asked which niche of my many interests was my favorite. I found it impossible to choose at that moment. To me it was like asking "what is your favorite color?" Aren't they ALL beautiful? Or "which of your children is your favorite?"

It doesnt matter how good your product is to be, to the eye of others, its just another piece of product in a sea pool of other similar products.
